Biranda Ford, violin

Biranda Ford read music at St. Peter's College, Oxford (M.A. and M.St.), and was a violin postgraduate at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. At Oxford she led and appeared as a soloist with orchestras including Oxford University Philharmonia and Christ Church Festival Orchestra (Bruch, Scottish Fantasy; Mozart, Violin Concerto No.3; Ravel, Tzigane). Her teachers have included Simon Fischer.

She now combines freelance solo, chamber music and ensemble performance with teaching at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
