Aline Nassif, violin

Aline Nassif was at St. Paul’s School, London, where she won numerous awards including the Imogen Holst Prize, and at the Royal College of Music before studying at Christ Church, Oxford, where she has graduated as a music scholar in 2002. She started violin aged six with the late Sidney Griller, and now studies with Natasha Boyarsky. In 2000 she performed the violin solo of Chausson’s Concert with the Allegri String Quartet, performed as soloist with the Christ Church Festival Orchestra and received the Oxford Philomusica Orchestral Award. Aline completed her M.St. at the Oxford University Faculty of Music in 2003 and now combines violin playing with working as a freelance music journalist, writing for, amongst others, The Sunday Independent, Classical Music and The Strad.
